Q. Do I need a reservation?
A. Reservations are always recommended, one because often our shows are sold out and two, even if we're not sold out, it helps us to make sure we have the proper number of staff to ensure good service, plus it's so easy to make one.

Q. How do I make a reservation?
A. Just call us at 937-224-JOKE (5653) and tell us what show you'd like to attend and how many people are in your party and you can pay at the door, just be nice enough to call and cancel if your plans change. If you don't get a live person, just follow the instructions and if you have any additional questions, just leave your phone number and we'll call you back. Reservations left on our answering service with more than 6 in your party must leave a phone number to have reservation honored. Normal box office hours are Thursday thru Saturday, from 1pm until closing.

Q. Do I need to provide my credit card number to make a reservation?
A. In most cases no, please see the above, however there are some "Special Shows" where a credit card number is required to make a reservation.

Q. What's a "Special Show" anyhow?
A.We like to think all our shows are special but some of our entertainers are so popular that we require a credit card because people get excited and make reservations for 17 and then only 5 people show up and in the meantime we've turned people away that really wanted to see the show, thinking we were sold out.

Q. Why can't I use a coupon or free pass for a "Special Show"?
A. Because the entertainers in a "Special Show" have high powered agents and we're contractually prohibited from honoring any discounts.

Q. Some Clubs have preferred seating. Can I pay extra to get a better seat?
A. We would never dream of charging extra for a good seat, it's first come first serve, plus all our seats are good seats. Are some seats better than other? Sure... but even if you're sitting in the last row, you'll still feel like you're part of the show with good sight lines and audio. Doors open at 7:15 for our 8:00 shows, and approximately 10:00-10:15 for our 10:30 shows.

Q. Do you have any non-smoking shows?
A. In accordance and compliance with Ohio State Law, we are a NON-SMOKING establishment, and thus, ALL of our shows are NON-SMOKING.

Q .How old do I have to be to attend Wiley's?
A. 18 to enter... 21 of course to drink alcoholic beverages.

Q. Can I bring my children?
A. If they are at least 16 years old and you are the legal guardian and have documentation to prove it.

Q. Some Comedy clubs have Bachelor or Bachelorette Party Packages, do you?
A. We don't have a package per-say, but if you look closely at other club's packages what they're doing is forcing you to buy drinks in advance and it includes sex toys etc. in an all-inclusive price. We don't do that. Here's what we do. We just charge our normal price and we invite the bride or groom on stage for a free Wiley's Tee Shirt and a ceremonial complimentary beverage, if that's what they want to do. It's up to you to provide your own plastic genitalia and of course we'll be happy to sell you drinks upon request.

Q. Do you have a two-drink per-person minimum?
A. We have a two-item per-person minimum. Two of anything off our food and beverage menu and you've met the minimum. Most economical option... 2 popcorns at $1.50 apiece.

Q. Do you have group rates discounts?
A. Sometimes, depends on the size of your group (10 minimum), which night and who the entertainer is. Call us at 937-224-5653 or e-mails us for specific details.

Q. Do you serve dinner?
A. We have food, but it's not a "Pass the potatoes please" kind of dinner (see menu on this web-site) and you don't need to be at the club at any specific time to eat, just order when you're hungry. Plus there are many very nice restaurants located in the Oregon District that are within walking distance of club. Also if you are a large group you can provide your own caterer or engage our recommended caterer, The Metropolitan 937-439-2554.

Q. I enjoy comedy but not when it's too dirty. Why don't you rate your shows?
A. Well we tried that, but an R to one person is another person's PG or X, so what we do is mention it when they are extremely blue or exceptionally clean. Otherwise assume they are somewhere in the middle, meaning there'll be some adult language but not too graphic. Please do not hesitate to call for more specific info regarding show.

Q. How can I find out when a specific entertainer will be appearing at Wiley's Comedy Nite Club?
A. You can sign up for our e-mail newsletter at the club or here on this website (coming soon) and we'll notify you, plus our acts are listed in the "Go" Section of The Dayton Daily News both in our ad in the "Things To Do Section."
